With over 20 years of experience, Som has previously been the co-founder and key contributor at multiple startups. At AANetcom, he was co-founder and key member of the team that developed the multi-channel CMOS SERDES, which led to its acquisition by PMC-Sierra. At Lightwire, he was a co-founder and key member of the team that developed the Silicon Photonics platform technology that led to its acquisition by Cisco. Som holds over 30 granted US patents.
After nearly 40 years of service, Kashyap retired as the Group Director, Electro Optical Systems Group at Space Applications Centre in India. This group is responsible for the development of all satellite-based optical sensors of ISRO. He was the Project Director (Payloads) for five INSAT 3 / GISAT series projects of ISRO. Kashyap was also the Course Director for the Space Systems Engineering course, Failure Analysis, as well as a Review Board Member for the Expert Team on Satellite Systems, WMO, UN etc.
In addition to his role at NSV, Dr. Prendiville is a Senior Visiting Scientist at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), the cancer wing of the World Health Organisation (WHO) in Lyon. He is also the director of the IFCPC/IARC training programme in Colposcopy and Prevention of Cervical Cancer. He is a retired Consultant Gynaecologist (Coombe, Tallaght and RCSI) and chairman of the department of Gynaecology at AMNCH (Tallaght Hospital). He is a past President of the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology and the International Federation for Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy (IFCPC).
Jayant was CTO of Artel, a managed network services provider. The company had grown from a startup to revenues over $400M when it was acquired by TPG. Prior to that he held senior positions at Verizon, AT&T, Bell Laboratories and several software and telecommunications startups. He holds a doctorate in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University and holds 15 granted patents in internet and telecommunications technologies.
Kal was the Founder/CEO/CTO of AANetcom, which was acquired by PMC-Sierra for $965M. Kal was also the Founder/CEO, then CTO of Lightwire, the first company to identify and solve high speed optical interconnects using CMOS photonics. After being acquired by Cisco for $271M, Kal continued as a Distinguished Engineer at Cisco until 2016. He received a Ph.D. in Physics from Columbia University and holds 54 granted US patents.
Farrokh is a Managing Partner and Co-founder of Green Leaf Real Estate Capital, which has ~$1B in assets. Previously, he co-founded Artiman Ventures, a VC fund focused on US-India cross-border deals. He was also a General Partner in the CSFB Venture capital group. Farrokh has a BE in Electrical Engineering and a MS in Computer Science, and has also completed various Senior Executive programs at Stanford.
